You didn't come here to read about how busy I've been, So I won't bore you with the details. Lets just say a few days last week working from 7:30 to 9:00 which hasn't left me time for a lot of fun or creativity. But the night before Valentine's day I was up late baking for our annual Valentine's day baking contest, and asked my friends here to do a little posing for me before they met their untimely demise. For the record my pie finished in second place behind some strawberry cheesecake bars, which means I didn't win the flat screen monitor (for work purposes only) that was up for grabs. Lemon desserts can be polarizing, some people, W included, just plain don't like them. That's O.K. it gave me an opportunity to make one, since it would be almost 3 years since my last one.
This past weekend W and I took a nice little trip out to Lake Chabot to get some exercise and enjoy the suddenly very nice weather. As usual I had the camera with me and grabbed this shot. It's a good thing we got out when we did, since the bay area decided to dive right back into winter and throw more rain and cold at us.
